💜 One Year Today... + Painting A Day Project

Today is one year since my son had his spinal surgery. So many of you were incredibly kind and supportive during that time. I want to thank you ♥ My husband and I have tender memories about that vulnerable time. And Jackson looks back on the calmness, too (and missing school!), although he doesn’t remember much after they finally got the IV in.  It was scary and stressful in the moment, but we pulled the goodness out of it then and now. calendar sale ♥ sketching in the car

I was recently waiting in my car for my sister who is my hair-stylist. I was about to get my shortest cut ever, and I'm still adjusting to it :) She was running late and I had forgotten my journal, but I had a little notebook tucked in the car. I had a flood of inspiration to use... a bunch of women in my head needed to come out... It's all perspective, isn't it? I could have sat and stewed, but instead I sat and drew, and now I have fresh hope for new paintings.   Surprise Calendar Sale I...
