Miracles ♥ Near Your Voice ♥ 5 left

I'd love to introduce you to Miracles ~ Precious & Mighty. A brand new piece that I finished yesterday after weeks of obsessing over her surface and colors ♥  This original painting has SOLD. (Did you catch that she's inspired by Crush?)   There were HOURS that I lost myself in the layers of this painting. Can you believe that there are around 25 layers of skin here? The final stage of adding flourishes and last accents is such a treat. I like to make sure my mood is just right before I start that session :) I believe in...

Scary New Ideas ~ YOU

When I ‘signed up’ to start a business as an artist (20 years ago), I had NO CLUE the roller coaster I was putting myself on. Social media and email marketing have been some of the big loops in this coaster, literally: a big, lovely UPswing at the beginning, and some definite DOWNturns throughout. Tis the nature of being willing to try lots of things when you believe in your work and how it can touch hearts ♥ strap-in baby, the ride is long and crazy, but overall positive.   NO ONE said it would be easy.    Here is an...

A snapshot from a smart phone is usually not sufficient to make prints from as the smartphone often blurs or stretches images at the edge of the...

Visual Texture in a Fine Art Print on Paper

Visual Texture in a Fine Art Print on Paper

When I create an archival print from one of my paintings on canvas or paper, I am often blown away by how it looks like the texture of the painting can actually be touched IN THE PRINT!! Of course, the print is smooth, but the Visual Texture comes through. The true texture of that piece is touchable only by he or she who owns the original painting, of course. And texture, I tell you, is delicious to the touch. I have collectors who tell me of how much they love to touch their original paintings. Some have placed...
