Message from the Artist: The child is flecked with trepidation, wonder and longing for protection. She is strong, though, far from hopeless. She tapped into the tissues, emotions, vibrations and fluids, healed, and an empowered woman grew from her. She has trekked through dense forests, plucked inspirational blooms, sagged under loss, been dislodged by heartache, bandaged by love… all the while the little one existed.

The young one shed tears, realizing someday everyone would be gone. She sensed more than necessary, drew the future, stared at strangers and felt intense compassion while watching people eat. A fertile soul destined to feel too much.

Now, young and grown, there wouldn’t be one without the other. Our seeds sprout, suffer, curl around stones and muck through mud. Eventually vertical, we reach toward the sun. The woman, she finds balance after horizonal detours and crooked diversions.

She touches a hand to her heart feeling, with a flash inside, that the strength she needs has always been on tap. The inner child has developed into a rooted knowledge, an empathetic center who loves where she lives, an inner faith. And she is genuine.
