Message from the Artist:
NOTE from June 2025: After revisiting this piece and re-connecting with my reason for creating her, I felt inspired to make a subtle change: She now wears a light blouse, a gentle touch of modesty that adds intimacy and tenderness. This small edit feels meaningful: a way of offering her a little more privacy and presence, while also giving the work a new dimension and texture. It’s still the same figure, the same motherly love, the same energy, but now with a little something extra ♥

Her flesh is an ocean, with its shape like a full and moving body of life. A flower bulb, sprouting pure shiny growth from layered tissues. Your touch would startle at her smoothness, how soft she has become with time, yet how abundant. 

Like a soul that has suffered, learned, and remembered ~ she’s ready to bloom again in warm ground, nourished selectively by the stream she sprung from. She’s now confident enough to bring out a little one, a mini soul with the same untainted skin. 

Together, emboldened, they begin afresh, one guiding the other through the days and selections. Bold spirits traversing, aware of each passion and chance. Through her child and her choices, she experiences newfound momentum.

Opening and unfolding, releasing the ache and wiping away scars. Earth’s water, air, blooms and snow provide sustained vitality to soothe their spirits.
