I’m honored to share with you, the Son Series, complete.
The Son Series became what I imagined it could become. I anticipated the way I would feel about the finished pieces, but the process of getting them there was tricky. I “saw” in my mind’s eye what I wanted but at the same time did NOT know what to do next, minute by minute. FAITH.
I knew I wanted these four paintings to be unique – as this feeling of hatching young men into the world is unique…
I WILL have prints of these on my wall, as a celebration of the journey and a reminder of the TRUST I/we must have, and most importantly of the JOY that is coming up for my boys and YOUR boy(s).
The hopeful anticipation on the face of the son in the 4th painting will remind me that the world is opening to our sons, and it is unfair to deny them their adventures.
