This painting was created for and is in honor of a woman who has her own vital and vibrant identity ~ as well as being a devoted mother. I hoped to infuse attitude, energy, love, spirit, happiness and confidence with every brush stroke that went into this painting. (~xo N, thanks ~)
The sketch was so rough and loose – each time I attempted to finesse it, it went static on me – and that is no good. I yearn for the freedom of the canvas, and to tie the composition down with too “finished” of a sketch is such a bummer…
