Quite Possibly A Dream… Purple! My favorite DIY natural moisturizer

You know those moments where you are between waking and sound sleep… when your body is still asleep, but your consciousness is just rousing? We are between the dream state and the waking state. And when we slowly realize we are cuddled in the arms of our love, or embraced by the flannel sheets of our bed, or kissed by the dappled morning sunlight ~ life can feel like a dream.

To be blessed with a warm bed, a warm love, a roof over our heads; to have healthy happy family members sleeping nearby… we hopefully realize how dreamy real life can be – even our struggles will eventually fade. Hopefully we smile and hopefully we count our blessings.

Quite Possibly A Dream… quite possibly I had way too much fun with this piece. The arching, growing vines, the whimsical bouncing circles, the crocheted blanket with its decorative edge. Total swoon, this piece held me transfixed. So much fun. And in the end, so much dreamy purple love to share.

Quite Possibly A Dream is an original 8×8” painting on deep chunky canvas – this original painting is currently available.

Last week I shared with you my new favorite face mask (you can see it on the blog here).

This week I want to share my favorite moisturizing technique. I like to keep things REALLY simple. I have used Annmarie Gianni products in the past and LOVED them (they helped my acne scars to heal) ~ but over time I have transitioned to a simple bottle of organic Rose Hip oil and a bottle of organic Frankincense essential oil.

After washing my face (with Alaffia Good Soap, same as we all use in the shower), I take approximately 1 TB of Rose Hip oil in my palm with 3-4 drops of Frankincense oil. Mix and apply. I LOVE how moisturizing and healing this process has been for me. I struggled intensely with acne as a teenager, and I’ve just about healed up the scars, and honestly have never felt better in my own skin. It is a very empowering feeling after SO many years of feeling like two eyes staring out of a face of shame. We can talk about that later, if you want.

Let me know what you think! Of the mask and the oils, if you try them. I always vote for keeping things simple.
