This week I have a brand new painting on paper to share with you ~ it is also a Mindful Mothering Project painting…
In actuality, I do not create my paintings from photos. I paint from sketches in my journal that have sprung from my heart and from inspiration around me. When I do have photos for inspiration (for custom commissioned paintings) I look at the photos for a bit, set them aside, and see what blossoms. I have no intentions or desires for photo-likeness, just for a heart-felt representation of closeness and affection.
However, I always enjoy seeing the photos my collectors share with me ~ they are inspiring, and so for several years now I have been having a blast with the Mindful Mothering Project. My community (that’s you!) submits photos via email and if I choose your photo to inspire an MMP painting, YOU get a free 12×12″ print of the finished piece. This new piece, entitled Equal Adoration, is an 8×8″ original painting on 10×10″ paper AND is the 14th painting in the Mindful Mothering Project.
This piece has SOLD, but you can find Limited Edition 12×12″ signed, numbered and titled prints of her, here. A Limited Edition of 20 means that only (20) 12×12″ paper prints of this piece will be released out into the world. Ever.
