There were HOURS that I lost myself in the layers of this painting. Can you believe that there are around 25 layers of skin here? The final stage of adding flourishes and last accents is such a treat. I like to make sure my mood is just right before I start that session :) I believe in Garbage In Garbage Out, and my paintings respond to what I've been listening to or watching. Lately I've been devouring a podcast about art news. Sounds boring, but it's soothing and helps me realize I'm in good company :)
