I’m working on a surprise custom for a darling family, but after cleaning up my studio on Saturday, re-stacking shipping supplies, vacuuming and wrapping up paintings… the studio felt SO clean and inspiring!
I am terrifically inspired by open spaces, clean surfaces, organized cupboards, things tucked neatly in their places… and so within a couple hours of the clean-up, a new friend peeked into my soul. She will be worked on while the custom is out for feedback and approval :) and in all those in-between times.
She is inspired by Cling, who was created exactly 16 YEARS AGO! I can hardly believe it has been that long.

It’s a constantly-analyzed process – but I see that as progress. It would be unfortunate to settle in and move forward without yearning for growth and improvement.
A few days ago, in my finishing-up and cleaning-up frenzy, I bumped and sent my studio lamp hurling to the floor; SHATTERING glass everywhere. Thank goodness the newly ordered prints on the workbench were already wrapped. It took 45 minutes to vacuum the mess up.
But the studio is very fresh now 😊 Haste makes waste... but in this case, the time spent vacuuming was time to think, not wasted.
