KATIE BERGGRENIt's time to release the 12th Annual Painting On Purpose painting. On this the 103rd birthday of my sweet Grandma Neva ♥♥
My grandma has always lovingly supported me as an artist. She thinks it is fantastic that someone can make a living creating art. She is an artist herself, though she wouldn't admit it. Her medium over the years has been carved eggs, paint, clay, acorn crafts... we spent hours around the table together, creating, when I was a child. This project and the ability to support families with my paintings, is in honor of my grandma.
All Proceeds from this painting will go straight to Mary's Place in Seattle Washington.
Mary's Place envisions a community where all families have safety, stability and housing. They help mothers, children and families get off of the street and into warm homes. Their goal is that no child sleeps outside.
Message from the Artist: Like insects, moments fly through our day ~ a cloud of instances that make up an existence. We can let them all flutter away, or we can catch a select few ~ holding on and looking closely, noticing their shimmer, and letting gratitude take flight.
