In Process ♥ A Gift

I’m a sucker for befores and afters. Show me your cleaning, your de-cluttering, your organization… I love it all. 

 

And I LOVE progress shots of paintings, too. Especially my own because of the sense of accomplishment and personal triumph over Resistance that they bring.

 

Sticking with a piece (through the awkward stages and possibilities) is hard. Sometimes I feel like I NEED a pile of chocolate chips or an audiobook to KEEP me at the easel. And sometimes I can’t pull myself away to get my other life/house responsibilities finished.

 

Below is a new piece in process for the Daylight Dreams Collection.

 

I’ve enjoyed every minute of it so far, and it is pushing me. This collection as a whole, and the Graceful Nature Collection, have shown me new directions, new textures, new purposes. And that feels good, and timely.
