Let's go into the VAULT again ~ which houses over 20 years of paintings created for myself and for others. In the beginning, I painted strictly for myself. I remember one day a man named Adam called me from halfway across the USA. He had seen my painting on facebook, and he wanted it for his wife. That is one moment where I realized that my paintings were meant for others, too, and that their jobs were to get OUT into the world and spread love. The love that I put into creating them.

 

If you think that the efforts you are putting in DO NOT matter, you are wrong. The good things you are doing ARE affecting others, even if those others are too little to tell you themselves. Your Work Matters.

 

 

A glimpse from the past, a snippet from a 2008 journal entry: 

“A strange thing has been happening: people are looking forward to meeting me... they are browsing and pouring over my site for at least an hour. They are noticing elements on my paintings that I may not have consciously noticed (Hey, you finally made a mom with blonde hair! Hey, you painted a hidden heart! I did?) 

 

I’m becoming so enthralled in my processes and techniques, emotions, subjects and reasons for them that I’m putting elements out there that are connecting with people in different ways. 

 

I’m visiting at events and people are recognizing my face and my name and my work. Folks are driving by galleries and recognizing my work on inner gallery walls, through windows... while driving!

 

The feedback and heartfelt comments I’m receiving are leaving me thoroughly humbled and feeling infinitely blessed.”

 

Hang in there, mama, hard work pays off.

 

 

I’m releasing one reimagined From the Vault piece each day for 10 days; affordable, collectible, and extremely limited. Only 7 hand-embellished 8x8 inch prints of each painting will ever exist. After the final print from each piece is claimed, the vault closes.

 

Early Bird Bonus: the first two collectors of each Vault print get a handwritten greeting card from me, with a behind-the-scenes message about the painting + an art sticker.

 

 

 

 

RELEASE NUMBER 9: RECHARGE

Written in September 2008, during her creation: Resting and recharging, together; I love that the mother can contentedly sleep even though the child is hazily awake and dozing. She knows they are both safe, the child knows they are in sync, and they each get what they need. The innocence of the child’s little bent arms and nested hands gets me; the innocence of being comfortable.

Each print of Recharge will be individually embellished with my brushes and paints, then signed and dated. You can even request eye color and/or hair color accents customizations.
