Let's step into the Vault together. Where we'll find over 20 years worth of paintings and magic, writing, experimenting and struggling. We are often guided by our past experiences, our mistakes, our memories, and things we want to be sure we do DIFFERENTLY this time.

 

A glimpse from the past, a snippet from a 2007 journal entry: 

“No Regrets. I once read that the tears cried at graves are tears of regret… this statement soaked in and in late 1997 I vowed to be a better daughter and to tell my dad how much I loved him. I’d had intuition that my dad would be casting off sometime within the not-too-distant future. 

 

I succeeded at what I vowed, but approximately seven months later, he was gone. I cry for him, but not out of regret. He knew I loved him. Even if he could never fashion the words to say it back to me. His “Me too” response was good enough for me ♥

 

Now, 9 years he’s been gone and I still hold that “no regrets” concept close to my heart. I think about this on an nearly daily basis, with all the people I love." 

 

 If we desire to have 'no regrets', we must give our children US... every day, so that when we are no longer together, neither of us will have regrets.

  

 

I’m releasing one reimagined From the Vault piece each day for 10 days; affordable, collectible, and extremely limited. Only 7 hand-embellished 8x8 inch prints of each painting will ever exist. Strictly limited, no restocks.

RELEASE NUMBER 7: STILLNESS & MOTION

 

Written during creation, in 2007. Inspired by my bouncing bundle of boy, I began sketching this painting. It has become a study in line and color for me, and a test of showing movement and stability in the same space. Grab hold of those things that move you and pull you forward, inspire and delight you, and make you want to step back in awe.
