Featured Mama: Becky of Dixie-Soaps

I am pleased to feature Becky, an honored collector, but most importantly: a mama, a soapmaker and owner of Dixie-Soaps! I recently ordered a bunch of soap from Becky and was thrilled with the exquisite products when the package arrived. Visit Dixie-Soaps’ website.

Here are Becky’s words:

I’m 32 years old, a wife, mama to two precious girlies, and passionate about what we put into and on our bodies.

I’ve raised dairy goats with my family for many years. I began making goat milk soap for my family about 12years ago, and that eventually grew into a business. I met my now husband, Bill, on e-Harmony in 2008. We married in 2009 and had Laura in 2010, and Elizabeth in 2011.

Becky of Dixie-Soaps, and her little girlies

We own a little farm in Tennessee where we raise as much of our food as we can. Together we make our products and sell online, through several local stores, and at a local farmer’s market.

We produce goat milk for our soaps from our small herd of happy healthy goaties. All the herbs and botanicals in our soaps are grown here, as well as sunflower oil. We are adding beehives this spring, to produce our own honey and beeswax also!

(okay, now I know you want to check out Becky’s products, just go here: Dixie-Soaps

Our goal is to make products that gently clean and moisturize your skin, while being earth and skin safe!

Current products include a huge variety of goat milk soaps, a luxurious skin lotion, lip balms, felted soaps, and liquid laundry soap.
We will be releasing a new line this spring with extra gentle baby soaps and diaper creams.

It’s a great joy to me to be able to create wonderful gentle products for my babies and family to use, and to be able to share those products with others.

A few things about me:
My soapmaking is a reflection of me.
I love color, especially purple and red.
I love gardening, herbs, and flowerpots on sunny windowsills.
I love farmers markets.
Chocolate.
Quilting.
Twirly skirts, dollhouses, and tea parties.
Clawfoot bathtubs.
Animals, especially my goats and corgis.
