Daylight Dreams ~ 10 new paintings release 2/6 ♥ POP progress

► The Daylight Dreams Collection, 10 paintings releasing February 6th

 

 

Each Year since 2015 I’ve released a special painting on February 6, my grandmother's birthday, and given ALL of the proceeds from its sale to a charity that benefits mothers and/or children. So far, Painting On Purpose has allowed me to give $7,792 to organizations that make a positive impact on the lives of families.

 

This heartfelt painting will be released on February 6, with 9 more paintings in the Daylight Dreams Collection.

My mental resources are tapped right now, with helping care for my grandma (almost 103), and other weighty things. No organization I researched grabbed my heart like others that I’ve chosen have, so I’m cutting myself slack and giving to Mary’s Place again! Do you want to recommend an organization for next year? Please do.

 

Mary's Place envisions a community where all families have safety, stability and housing. They help mothers, children and families get off of the street and into warm homes. Their goal is that no child sleeps outside.

 

Painting On Purpose gave to Mary’s Place in 2023. However, each day when I go outside, I imagine children sleeping on cardboard and in tents. I feel grateful that my children are both warm, even though my eldest son is experiencing temps of around 0 to -22 where he lives. He has a warm place to sleep and work, food to eat and people to be with. But not everyone does, and Mary's Place is helping with that.

 

In 2025 alone, Mary’s Place served over 3600 children and helped over 1400 families move to or stay in their stable housing, with support to keep their hard won homes. With over 148,300 safe warm nights for people experiencing homelessness in Seattle, which isn't too far from where I live.
