I am SO inspired by everyday life… on Tuesday while picking out my fave eggs at the store, I was instantly inspired to create some monochromatic (one color) paintings… I could see them in my mind right away and could hardly wait to get started. Below is the packaging that inspired me AND the monochromatic (browns & creams) painting that I created (completed TODAY!).
Isn’t this packaging pretty? I have always loved food package design, that is what led me into graphic design and illustration after high school.
I’ve named this new painting INTERWOVEN. She’s an 8×10″ original on deep canvas, if you are interested in owning her, let me know and I’ll tell you if she is available

Over the last month I’ve been losing myself, daily, in some custom original paintings ~ created for some special mamas ~ one in Slovakia, one in Arizona. I am continually amazed at the ability of the internet to connect us: mothers all over the world!
Here are the two paintings, recently custom-created: Sea Of Devotion (left) and Hearts On Fire (right). I feel my paintings reaching a new level ~ I guess 13 years of devoted practice will do that. My son turns 13 on Saturday!!!
