I LOVE talking with mothers through email, facebook and instagram. Often I hear them fall in love with a piece, but worry that the hair color isn’t right, or that the mama in the painting doesn’t look enough like themselves…
Here is what I encourage and celebrate:
Choose Art that makes YOU feel something ~ you will spend your life with an Original Painting. Choose for feeling versus likeness.
It doesn’t matter if you can’t put words to WHY you love a piece, or if no one loves it except YOU.
It doesn’t matter if you know ANYthing about art techniques or styles… doesn’t matter if you know the name of only 1 or 2 artists out in the world… YOU KNOW what speaks to you.
The art in your life will impact you: bring you smiles & emotions & reminders to stop; soothe your heart and make a statement to others about what matters to YOU.
YOU get to choose how you spend your hard-earned money ~ maybe on dinners out, electronic gadgets or clothing ~ items with temporary lives…
Original Paintings are GENERATIONAL ~ they increase in value each year. They enrich a life, then are passed down lovingly as cherished objects full of meaning, from one generation to the next, sweet hand to hand.
Original Artwork lasts a series of lifetimes, and if taken care of, will continue to give back to you, day after day.
They are canvases enveloped in the love and time of the artist’s hands; hold-able, touch-able timeless gems…

Also, this week’s new original mini paintings (there are TWO!) are called Vibrant Star (top) and Bundle Of Light (bottom) ~ both of these mini paintings have SOLD, because collectors who saw them on Facebook (before they were completely done) asked to claim them.
