Over the last couple weeks I’ve been typing up notes about my Grandma’s life (she’s 92 ~ I have TWO grandmothers in their 90s!), notes I’ve collected from different chats we’ve had. She’s the last one in her family and the one who knows many of the answers. It is important to capture them for her and for the rest of us.
Also, I’ve been painting for some beautiful families I’ve just posted these pieces to my Instagram stories, if you want to go check them out before they expire in 20 hours.
Soul Peace, the 16th Mindful Mothering Project (MMP) painting is complete and you can find prints of her here. The original painting has sold. Oh what fun it is to create a painting inspired by YOUR photos.
It’s a nice treat for me, since my paintings are usually inspired by the sketches in my journal. There are even times (many) that I step up to the blank canvas with NO specific idea in my head, and with music coursing through me, I just get going. Pure bliss…
The Mindful Mothering Project invites YOU to submit photos that may inspire a brand-new painting. Share your moments, this is an on-going adventure, no deadline. The mama whose photo is chosen gets a free 12×12″ print of the finished piece. I’ll probably be starting a new MMP piece this month.
I’ve been trying to figure some stuff out ~ it’s amazing how personal and business concerns can collide to create a really rough time. But things are looking up, so I’m thankful for that.
Here are a couple of my newest paintings. The painting doesn’t stop, no matter what I’ve got four new ideas busting out of my head…
Thank you for everything, have a WONDERFUL weekend. Wanna chat live on Facebook? I’ll see you there.
Love & Sincerely, Katie
