Happy Thursday ~ it’s back to school time, so there’s paint flying in the studio. Continuing the Kindred Collection, this little couplet came to me from out of nowhere – coaxed into being by a fresh open mind, a blank canvas and generous amounts of love and time. I knew as she emerged that this painting was meant to share her soft and soothing grace. I love the way some images seem to ACHE to be on canvas 
Soothing Grace is painting #11 in the Kindred Collection.

I’m not sharing the finished pieces on social media before release day (Thursdays) but you can message me if you’d like first dibs on a painting that you see on FB or IG – you’ll then get a little pre-peek at the finished painting and may choose to own the piece, no pressure.
Soothing Grace, new painting from Katie m. Berggren
Soothing Grace was claimed early by one of my loyal collectors – who asked after seeing the painting in process on Instagram. I don’t feel right about denying someone the joy of having a new original painting, just because it isn’t a certain day of the week. I’ve waffled over this, but that is how I feel right now. I’m not showing the finished pieces til release day, but if you see something in process that you might like, don’t hesitate to private message me ~ I won’t pressure you into purchasing
There is always only ONE original of each painting – it sounds silly (for some) to read this, but you’d be surprised how many times I’ve been asked about getting the “original” painting in a different size…
Once an original painting has been claimed, it’s gone from the market. Prints are all that remain available. I’m always thrilled to send my little works of HEART off to new loving homes.
That said ~ I have prints of Soothing Grace, right here. And since I’m addicted to the creative process, I am currently working on another piece that is similar in technique, but a mama with two babies – you can watch the progress of this piece (mostly) on Instagram Stories, and also some on Facebook.
