Types of Art Prints:

Your Art Print will be created onto premium-quality heavyweight paper with an 8-ink process for vibrant, fade-proof color that illuminates YOUR space. Your smooth matte Archival Print will be hand-signed and carefully packaged for safe travels into your hands. I use archival materials so your ready-to-frame artwork will have 100+ beautiful years to inspire tender memories and touch hearts. Even when mom says she doesn't want anything, she may yearn for recognition of her motherhood journey.

Prints 12x12 or smaller are bagged to ship in a sturdy mailer, the title of the Art Print is written on the backing board. Most Art Prints have a small 1/8-inch border and fit standard frames. THICK MARGIN and EMBELLISHED Prints have 3/4-inch borders.

••Hand-Embellished and Signed Art Prints••

A 12x12 Thick Margin Print is hand-accented with paint for brush-stroke texture. I take your print to my clean work table and add an artist’s touch to make your embellished Art Print one-of-a-kind and collectible. I autograph the front and sign and date the back of your Embellished print. Your print is then packaged in an acid free bag with a backing board, and gift wrapped before shipping in a sturdy mailer.

An Embellished Print allows for eye color changes, or color accents added to hair. I can darken or lighten hair, or add some facial hair, all with paint. I can even add names or dates, written with fine marker. Provide notes at check-out if you'd like your Embellished Print personalized with eye or hair color adjustments.

Messages for the images in this listing:

WIST: She is ready and has let all concerns fall. She greets the future face on, with eyes wide open and a sturdy acceptance and faith for a positive, healthy, empowered birth.

SOON TO BE: A soon to be mama, a soon to be daddy, a soon to be welcomed new babe. Expectant mother and her husband enjoying a restful moment before the journey from pregnancy to birth.

INFINITE PROMISE: The crocus symbolizes joy and hope. Purple crocuses erupt abundantly into my front yard each fall, a gift from my Grandma Neva – and as she has become almost 99 years old, I feel that she more represents joy and hope, as well. She is more sturdy than the dainty crocus, and both have beautiful faces.

The crocuses in my yard stop the passersby, some for photos. A unique and uncommon addition to yards around here.

This mother and her baby represent to me infinite promise. The pure dainty body of the new infant, completely dependent upon the mother’s form for protection and nourishment. The freshness of a new relationship coupled with the fresh bursting faces of Spring.

GROWING CALM: A growing sense of calm, a calm before a storm of activity and changes. Enjoying this moment of peace, in in warm red tones, together. Little girl waiting with mommy for the big day, the arrival of her new best friend and the new title of big sister.

TINY MOMENT: Inspired by a previous painting, Interlude, I had the urge to have a second go-round with a very soft and very pregnant mother and her nurturing child. Mila Polevia’s song “By Faith” just happened to come on during a critical instance and his line “…in a tiny room, a tiny moment, not so long ago…” caught in my head, thus the title. Thanks, Mila.

NEW HOPE: An Iris bursting with hope and rich feathery petals. Irises represent hope and this new painting represents the promise of what nature and the body may come together to create. She is ready, she is aching, allowing optimism to wash over her.

GRACE & GROWTH: Gracefully growing, with memories in the heart and plentiful magic. An expectant mother full of hope, with her heart in her hand, her heart is waiting to be given to the new baby, or has it already been given?

CLEAR MIND: May we find a bit of clarity if only for a few minutes, before noticing and acknowledging our thoughts and feelings. No need to make them go away, they just want to be recognized. And when we surround ourselves with the most beautiful souls, we can teach peace, and find tranquility together.

SOULS: In an effervescent atmosphere, an overlap of energetic realms – a fluttering, breathing crisscross of worlds: the soul/spirit world and the physical world…An expectant mother, a mother who has experienced loss in her past, is awaiting the birth of her rainbow child. As she waits, she feels and she realizes that the souls of those who have also called her body home, are near. The angel spirit baby souls are watching over, waiting to welcome the new bundle of joy. Maybe I just LOST you with in my woo-woo-ness, but that is how I view this piece... The souls watch over, the spirits are waiting for the little one to arrive.

THE FUTURE CALLS: My intention behind the Here & Now Collection is not that we are rising from the ashes, though as humans we must. My intention is more about letting go. About reinventing ourselves and moving onward, not dwelling on past pains and troubles, and leaving the past in ashes. Carrying the fire forward to ignite our next moments. From this moment, we move forward. There are things we need to forget. There are instances (although sweet) that we cannot cling to.
